In late November, I added a paid section to this newsletter so that I could offer my Meditations for Writers here. Now, I am starting the year with a change of heart. 💜Something doesn’t feel right about it. I am not convinced that this is the place for the meditations to live and I don’t love having a paywall dividing my readers. If I am honest, too, I also feel unsure if I want to get tied into an external platform in this way, although that could change.
I adore writing this newsletter and I love the interaction it brings and so adding in a paywall for a slightly different offering now feels like an error. It is a beautifully interactive space, and a joy to write and I want to keep it that way. I also want to take some time to consider where these meditations (that I am really excited about!) might live (I have a few ideas but any thoughts are very welcome). So, I am humbly backtracking and taking the paid section off for now.
As of today, then, we are back to our regular schedule (refunds incoming for all you lovely people that signed up) and my next installment of Write As You Are will be out next week. I may share meditations here occasionally and if you find my newsletter or the meditations that are available here helpful, you can always buy me a book (I love that Buy Me A Coffee, now has a ‘book’ option- what greater act of love than to buy someone a virtual book?) to help me along the way.
Note: This is not about struggling to ask for money for my craft, but rather about deciding that this is not the place best suited for the meditation offering. So, if you are about to start a paid Substack and it feels good and aligned for you, do it, do it!
We love a powerful woman who leads with her gut and heart. YES to it being okay to changing your mind. Can't wait to see where they find a home when you decide xoxo
Thanks. I am writing a post on writing and money this week and this is very helpful!
