Do you pick a word for your year? I have been doing this for about the last five or so years and I find it a beautiful practice. Last year my word was connection and I can’t even tell you all the ways that it played out (and guided me in making decisions that would help create connection). It also resulted in certain endings of connections, which was also deeply important. This year my word is….visibility. I knew it was the right word when it dropped into my mind because it excited and scared me in equal measure.

my word, pause, derives from my intention to practice holding rather than (merely) filling space.
I'm going for persistence, because it really paid off for me last year and robbed the Rejection Dragon of all its power.

Oh goodness, I didn't choose one yet! I think I need it to be something like present. As in staying present and in the moment.
