Next Teas and Tales on June 1

And a writing prompt to tickle your fancy

I’ve been a little slower than usual getting information out about the next Teas and Tales. It’s been a busy month, working on the final final edits of my novel and sending it out to a few competitions that all close at the end of May. However, I am excited that our next Teas and Tales gathering will be on Sunday, June 1. This time we will be evoking the essence of Peppermint. So, brew up your favourite minty blend and come join me as we write together.

When: Sunday, June 1 at 11 am PDT/ 1 pm CST/ 2 pm EST/ 7 pm BST

Cost: The suggested cost for Teas and Tales is $12 USD, but please feel free to pay what you can, money needn’t be a barrier for sharing this space.

June’s tea to accompany us in our writing will be cooling Peppermint 🍃

I thought it would be fun to share a prompt from our last gathering. In May, Jasmine was our tea of choice. All the Teas and Tales prompts are linked around the tea or the plant in some way.

So here we go…

Prompt: I am a night bloomer…

Time to write: 7 minutes

Use this prompt to inspire you. Use single words from it or include the entire sentence, or simply go with the essence, the feeling it inspires in you. Do whatever feels good, follow whatever tendril leads you into a story.

Ritualise: If you feel called to ritualise this experience, you can light a candle while writing, put on music that you love, dance before and after you write, write whilst drinking freshly brewed cup of Jasmine tea, write in a cafe (and get cake when you finish), do whatever it is that makes it feel special, contained, joyful for you.
